Job Description Accounting: • Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the Company’s financial records and suggest improvements in accounting procedures. • Assist in the preparation of reports as requested by the senior and associate managers. • Record the Company’s daily transactions and maintain up-to-date Xero Accounting records. • Ensure the proper documentation of all company financial transactions. • Reconcile the invoice purchases with the accounting records. • Maintain the Company’s Fixed Asset Registry. • Conduct the annual inventory of existing Company Fixed Assets. Compliance: • Assist in ensuring compliance with the laws, regulations, and the organization’s policies. • Assist in the preparation of the necessary documents for internal and external compliance. • Assist in the development of effective internal control procedures and business processes for continuous improvement. • Act as liaison to government agencies, when necessary. • Keep updated with any new and existing regulation. • Process the Company’s compliance with government agencies, as necessary. • Ensure the proper implementation of internal controls to establish accurate financial reports. Treasury: • Assist in the preparation of the budget to allocate funds. • Act as the Petty Cash custodian. • Record all PCF transactions and liquidations to Xero. • Prepare Petty Cash replenishment reports. • Act as the liaison officer to banks. • Review cash position and bank reconciliation reports. • Prepare checks for disbursement as instructed by the Senior Manager or Associate Manager. • Perform online banking or other means on behalf of the company, as authorized. • Perform additional work as assigned by the Associate Manager and Senior Corporate Accountant.
Job Qualifications • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accountancy, Banking or equivalent.
• Must have experience in General Accounting and policies, cash management, and accounts receivable and payable.
• Must be knowledgeable in BIR regulations.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office.
• Have good organizational and time management skills.
• Has excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and can communicate well with people from different levels of the organization.
• Can work as a team player and promote a cooperative work atmosphere.
• Have powerful skills in performing bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, reconciliation of accounts, and word processing.
• Can create and present reports and correspondence, regularly.
• Is efficient in solving problems and working with diverse variables.
• Have great attention to detail.
• Can work under pressure.
• Can work with minimal supervision.
• Preferably knows how to drive.
• Willing to be assigned in Subic Bay Freeport Zone
